How We Research and Rate Accounts

Last updated: October 15, 2026

BankNavigatorr compares U.S. bank accounts — checking, savings, CDs, online banks and business accounts. This page explains how we choose the accounts we cover, where our numbers come from, how often we check them and how we make money.

Who is behind BankNavigatorr

BankNavigatorr is an independent website run by Lucas Constantino Mari from Valencia, Spain. We are not a bank, broker or licensed financial advisor, and nothing on this site is financial advice.

Where our data comes from

  • Rates, fees and minimums come from each bank’s own website or official disclosures. Where a figure comes from somewhere else (for example, a third-party review), we say so next to the figure.
  • Deposit insurance is checked against the bank’s own disclosures and, where useful, the FDIC or NCUA.
  • Account-opening policies (for example, whether a bank uses ChexSystems) are only stated as fact when the bank says so publicly. Otherwise we write “not disclosed”.

How we keep information current

  • Every comparison table shows the date we last checked its figures on the providers’ websites.
  • Rates on savings accounts and CDs are variable and can change at any time, so we re-check them regularly and update the date when we do.
  • When a product changes significantly or is discontinued — for example, when a bank is acquired — we update or remove it and explain the change in the guide.

How we choose and rank accounts

We look at fees, minimum balances, the rate and what it takes to earn it, deposit insurance, access (branches, ATMs, apps) and features that matter for the specific reader of each guide. Rankings reflect our judgment for that reader; they are not a guarantee that an account is right for you.

How we make money

BankNavigatorr is supported by ads served by Google AdSense. We have no affiliate relationships with any bank or financial provider, so no provider pays to be included in a guide or to be ranked higher. Every guide repeats this disclosure next to its comparison table.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help draft, edit and illustrate content. Some images on this site are AI-generated illustrations, not photos of real products. Facts and figures in our comparison tables are checked against the sources linked in each guide.
